Complete Guide to Playing Scooters

Scooters are another new form of skateboarding product after traditional skateboarding. Scooters can not only be used as a means of transportation for short distances, but also have many tricks to play with. Today, I will introduce some tricks to play with skateboards.

1. Rocker Technique

Push or push the skateboard to the sliding speed. Right foot pedal at the end, left foot pedal at the front for control, or step on the back of the front wheel for the rocker. Move the center of gravity to the right foot and lean forward to keep the end of the board in the air for as long as possible. You can gently scrape the floor between the ends of the board to maintain balance.

2. 180 degree suspension technique

During the sliding process, the end of the board must be raised until it scrapes against the ground. Simultaneously rotate the entire body clockwise 180 degrees. If the rocker and rotation are in sync and the supporting feet are stable enough, the skateboard will rotate 180 degrees and come to a stop.

3. Foot techniques:

a. Heel suspension technique

Maintain the appropriate speed on the skateboard, rotate the front foot so that the toe is facing the end of the board, overlap the heel with the end of the board, place the center of gravity on the big toe of the left foot, and slowly move the other foot to the front of the skateboard. When the heels of the feet are suspended, bend the knees to maintain balance.

b. On board rotation techniques

Slide the skateboard first. Move the left foot so that the heel presses against the end of the board. Place your center of gravity on your big toe and move your right foot to the other end of the board. Move the center of gravity to the right foot, making it the axis of rotation. Rotate the left foot clockwise around the right foot, while the right foot also rotates accordingly, and finally maintain balance with the left foot.

4. Spin Jump Techniques for Playing Skateboarding

The skater drives the slide while keeping the skateboard level and squatting down slightly. Jump up and rotate 180 degrees. If using a forward slide with a push, the legs should be slightly folded when jumping. When falling, the distance between the feet is about 30 centimeters. Don't worry about the exact position of falling, just place your feet on both ends of the skateboard.

5. Jumping techniques for playing skateboarding

Prepare to jump, with stable and calm movements during takeoff, making it easy to control the jump. The length of the jump depends on the individual situation. When descending, the center of gravity falls between the legs, with the left foot in front, requiring two skateboards.

6. Jumping up separate from the board

Slide forward. During the process of moving forward, keep your feet close to each other. Place your feet in the front half of the skateboard, but behind the front wheels. Jump vertically when approaching the crossbar. Look at the skateboard with your eyes.

Try to land in the middle of the skateboard, roughly at the same starting position. If the force is uniform when falling and the legs are slightly bent, then the impact force on the board is easily offset.

7. Jumping up with a person on board

The skater drives the slide, with knees slightly bent, arms pre swung, and hind feet exerting force. The front end of the skateboard is raised, and the speed inertia is used to cross the obstacle together with the skateboard. When landing, pay attention to the cushioning movements of your legs, always keeping your center of gravity between your feet and slightly bending your legs.

8. Friction skills with plates

The skater drives the slide, with knees slightly bent and arms pre swung as they approach obstacles. The back foot exerts force to lift the skateboard into the air with the body, with eyes on the skateboard. Pay attention to balance on the edge of the obstacle, and place the center of gravity between the legs when landing. Pay attention to the cushioning action of the legs when landing.

9. Curved body

Skate forward or slide down a slope. Place your feet side by side behind the front wheels of the skateboard. Lean forward and grab the front end of the skateboard with both hands. Clamp your arms around your knees and slowly squat down, with your hips close to your heels. Tilt your body left and right, adjust the board ends with both hands to control the direction.
